Maya and I got to go to our friends’ “country” home in Weatherford for a play date last weekend. They live about 35 minutes away from us in Fort Worth, so really not all that far. But it was the first time we had been to their home, and it was wonderful. So much space for the kids to run around, and they have several horses, so Maya had so much fun seeing and touching them up close! She didn’t want to get on though, so we’ll have to try that another time when she’s more comfortable around such large animals. But they were beautiful to see, and we all fed them carrots for a snack. Our friend hid a bunch of Easter eggs for the kiddos to find, so they all had a blast filling their baskets, too. Amy and Lucy also have lots and lots of cats, so Maya was in heaven with kitties to chase everywhere, and even a few who would let her pet them.
