We have a fun new way to spend weekend afternoons, once it gets a little cooler, anyway. We recently took Maya for her first couple bike rides in her stroller/trailer that we can hook up to our bikes.
She really seemed to like it. And it seemed to make her sweet eyes pretty sleepy! I think the extra speed she gets behind our bikes makes the ride even more soothing than it is when we just stroll with her. Jason and I are loving it because we finally have something we can all do together and get some exercise at the same time.
So I think it’ll be something we do a lot of this fall. This last weekend we only went five miles because we wanted to ease Maya into it, but I think she could have gone much farther. The great thing about the trailer is all the space she has back there, so we can toss in a bunch of toys and her cup to help keep her busy during the ride. I think she thought it was pretty funny to see mom riding along next to her because I got lots of smiles and chuckles. Now we just need to teach Bailey how to run along with us, and not run away, and we’ll all be set!

Great gift, Grandad!! That will come in handy on those long bike rides. And maybe when Grandad comes over, he can go for a ride with Maya too! Can't believe your little girl is almost one! By the way…..that bicycle contraption is a two seater……so………..how about a friend for Maya to keep her company?

Maya, so happy you like biking with your Mom and Dad. Bet you will have so much fun having them pull you around Fort Worth's great biking trails.
