Little Miss Maya celebrated her first Halloween yesterday with a trip to a pumpkin patch down the road from our house. Well, actually, she slept through the entire trip, but we brought some pumpkins home with us so she could be properly photographed in her bunny costume (could barely squeeze her into it … it was purchased before she she was born!) and her Halloween PJs. She said she’s looking forward to next year when she can actually enjoy the candy with us!
As usual our sweet little girl has been doing great. She went for her first five-hour streak of sleep two night ago, six without eating. So she continues to give us hope she’ll be sleeping through the night before we know it! OK, probably hopeful thinking on our part, but where would we be without positive thinking? Probably in the depths of sleeplessness.
Maya has had a fun few weeks, too. She’s met lots more of mom and dad’s friends and got to spend several weeks with her Nana and Grandad from Minnesota. (And mom and dad were very grateful for all the help with her and around the house!)
Maya’s also alert a much larger portion of the day now. In the mornings she loves to lay on her back and look at the fan and her toys, and when she’s on her tummy she’s gotten to be a pro at turning her head from side to side. She can also hold her head pretty high in the air. Soon we won’t have to help her at all!
