Maya Makenzie Crane was the biggest baby born at the the hospital today.
And her mom did it without any drugs.
I couldn’t be any prouder of Kari. Contractions started around 7 this morning, we were at the doctor’s office around 9 and admitted to the hospital at about 10.
Five and a half hours later, we had a beautiful daughter. Everyone is healthy, happy and a little bit tired. Especially Maya, who’s asleep right now in Kari’s arms.
The details: She weighed 8 lbs, 14 ounces and is 19.5 inches long. She was born at 3:37 pm on September 23, 2009. She has plenty of jet black hair and a healthy set of lungs (can you hear her crying?)
